Blog refresh/upgrade made easy…
November 27, 2009 – 3:38 pmSome of you may have noticed the modest but important Six-Figure Freelancer blog refresh and upgrade, including
- new pages (about, contact, books, and so on) across the top
- the RSS icon and the Feedburner email subscription box
- ’share’ icons at the bottom of posts and the new pages
- Follow Me widget in the sidebar
- Reordering of the sidebar elements, putting the most important ones up front and eliminating unimportant ones
The changes will make it easier for blog visitors to find the links they are interested in, subscribe to the blog, read more about my books and services, contact me and connect to my main website. After stumbling around trying to do make some of the changes myself, and falling way short, I decided to find a professional to do the job. (Yes, even independent practitioners should outsource non-core business functions!)
A friend referred me to websites and blog designer Jennifer Johannesen. She completed the upgrade and refresh in a couple of days. She did the vast majority of the work and showed me a few tricks in the process. If you are looking to have a website or blog redesigned or built from the ground up, visit Low to the Ground and contact Jennifer. She listens to what you want, gives you options (without talking jargon) and works effectively and efficiently. As you can tell, I was very happy with her work and highly recommend her.
